Out to the track for the first time.......
Well I finaly got out to the track (Cayuga) for my first time last night. What a blast !! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun. I was there with 8 buddies. I was quiet impressed with how I did and and how the truck performed. The weather was great and I got 5 passes in.....

A big thanks to WHAT04 for all the tips and info. I'll let you and PBGas know the next time I go. It would be great if we could all meet up one night.

Thanks JL. You gota love the versatility of these beasts. Run a 13.572 at the track Friday night and help a friend move Saturday morning
I just finished 3 loads of furnature. Almost lost the mattress/box sping on one trip. Need to remember to tie things down tight.

Hey SnowPlow,
Nice runs. Your chip seems to be running right around where mine was Wednesday night. Very consistent trucks. (told you you needed a helmet!!)
Of course you realize that there isn't much to gain by going back to Cayuga without further modifications. I feel the bug beginning to bite. Ohhh the pain boss, the pain.
It is fun, but it's even more fun in June when the sun doesn't set 'till 9:15. Next year for sure. Glad you enjoyed it. Start saving some bucks for those springtime modifications.
Talk to you.

Nice times.
One thing WHAT04 forgot to tell you. If you go on green, then its too late. Go on the 3rd yellow. R/T timer starts when the 3rd yellow gets lit.
No prob, I remember my 'first' time at the track. So happy, excited, doing new things not sure if I am doing it right. Hesitant after finally getting a green light, after so many yellows...Then getting the hint and swinging into action.... not gettin much feedback becuase the track is really slippery, and it only lasting 14.1 seconds before the fun ended...Until I got second wind and lined up again... A little more experienced this time around, but only lasting high 13-low 14s with every pass... Sound familiar?

Nice times there SnowPlow
Going to the the track is really addictive isnt it? I love being at the track more than about anything.
BlueL: reaction time has nothing to do with ET. you could sit there half a minute and then go and you'd get the same ET as you would leaving quickly. Timers dont start till you leave.

SnowPlow,
The drags are a kick aren't they?
It looks like you were getting the launch down better with every run, and that's the key.
Have fun with your new hobby.
