Jim,
are you guys going to leave OC early enough to arrive early at In n Out? With so many cars, I would be willing to attempt to hold some spaces together for my fellow L owners!

What do you think?

Jim - got the number, thanks.
George - I will call, be sure to wait on top of an on-ramp
PDLightning - No need to save spaces at In&Out, it will be packed.

See you guys in 3 days!

Matt

Forget that number. My wife just started a new cell phone service. We just received the new phones today and I do not know what my new number is. I'll get back to you as soon as I know which I hope is tomorrow because the old number will be cancelled tomorrow.

Talking

Just 3 more day until we get some fun in the sun. And let me tell you, I NEED THIS!! After the Speed Meet, me and my buddy that i'm bringing up are going riding on the A.T.V.s , so if you any of you "old men" wanna try and keep up, you're welcome to try!!!

p.s. Will be buying my Walkie Talkie Friday, need money first.

p.p.s Sadly, it looks like I won't have an L there, but I will have my camaro, need to replace slicks on back of it with real tires.

-Marcus.

Alphadoggy- don't even think about it! (just kidding). Are you going to drive all the way down to Valencia, then turn around and drive by home? I'm one of the lucky ones. I live 10 minutes from the In 'n Out.

Fordsales- I'm looking forward to seeing your chrome wheels. BTW, I just got my Superchip back from Mike T. with the cux2r9 program and have a question: do you have another program on the flip? Mike wrote in: performance shifts with mild performance increase with no number on side I, cux2r9 on side II. I have'nt had time to test it out yet, just ran it up the boulevard up and back... Made a left turn out onto the main street, spun so badly, I almost lost it (almost completely sideways). First impression of R9 is much snappier off the line, no difference in top end, shifts smoother than R2 program it replaced.

I sure as hell hope so Alphadoggy, because the purpose of me getting the L was so I can tow a Camaro drag car down to wherever I needed. And also to do some major humiliation on the part of all the little rice burner clubs out here in my area.

-Marcus

oh, hah, p.s. when I said I needed to remove my "slicks" from the rear, I didn't mean drag radials, I mean that my tires were made INTO slicks by spinning them so darn much. There are litteraly holes in my tires where you can see the metal. They are BAD!!!

Back2Ford,

I will be driving down to the In&Out from Santa Barbara! I feel I should do it since I organized this whole thing, and it is fun to meet up.

On mine, one side is for performance using 92+ octane and the is almost stock so that low octange gas can be used without harming the engine.

It is an emergency flip in case one is in an area that doesn't have good gas.

That is what Mike told me.

Jim- I drove the L 1/2 of today with the CUX2R9 program, it feels like they left more timing in from 2-3 thousand rpm, it also feels like the trans does not go into lockup, like an old TH350. The chip is improved, no doubt. There was absolutely no pinging with Mobil 92 MTBE gas. I flipped the chip later in the day, and it went kind of whimpy, like they pulled out the timing. I am back to the R9 program. I am not feeling overwhelmed with new found power though. The truck is so smooth and quite that it just doesn't feel that fast. I probably need a set of remote controlled cut outs for my exhausts.

Unhappy

Damn - Can't go now. Blazer, my RR and riding buddy has to be driven to Carson City so he can have sex.

At least I can blast over the Sierras.

Any lightning owners in Nevada?

Jim,
I know it has been eons in Lightning board time but I have finally returned to this thread and saw your unanswered question about my trip. Couldn't let it just sit there, all by its lonesome. Unfortunately, there is very little gambling in Sioux City, Iowa. How's that for an exotic business trip? There, I've done it. Now please, just go and have fun. Don't worry about me, think of all the good times to be had smelling cow sh$t and watching dust bowls.
