Post Bigger rims?????????

"Bigger is better" was always me rule to live by.....

The problem with full sive trucks are any kind of rim looks 3 inch smaller than it really is..... 20's look like 17's on normal vehicles
fortunatly i like the look of 17's so i was wondering 2 things

1. Whats out boltpattern?
2. what 20 inch rims will fit us??

I love the widened stockes that BABolt has done but i would rather buy a 11-12" wide rims that also looks bitching

i like the look if the Harly davidson F-150 (it just need so be lowered with the low pro rubber)

but i want 345/35/18's or 345/35/20's
something wide for trackion and a bitching look

Tks guys

Hey BlueL
I hate to say this and don't want to break you heart but wide will not always give you better traction. Maybe better floatation but not traction. If you look at a lot of the Pro Street car you will see that yes they look cool but there traction stinks and mine does too. The only way that I could hook with the 315's is to be Fly paper. Heck I do a quick rotation on the tires every morning just leaving the driveway and thats just off idle. Looks cool but no traction. I had the same problem with the 315's on my Mustang. When you start generating 450 to 500 ft. lbs. of torque you are going to spin. This is talking about street tires, slicks are another story.

well at least they will look cool (pretty expensive cosmetic mod)

I know that they will not help off the line.....but later on? Like........ will they help traction in second where it spins but not harshly? will it give me some revs with out wheel spin..and therefor give quicker ets? and more mph (well small amounts but it helps)

let me know what you think?

Well, shoot, there goes that idea. I guess the only thing left to try is Cal-tracs, but according to Brimstone they screw up the handling, at least if the road is not perfectly smooth. Whats a soul to do?

If you are that serious about good launching on the street you can camp out in front of Nitto Tire Corp. and force them to make an 18" street drag radial.

For those that can't camp out in front of the Nitto Engineering facility you can do this. Call Conrad, Nitto's Engineering manager at 1-888-234-nitto and express your interest in an 18 inch drag radial. One that is at least 28 inches tall.
