'99 Chip owners...pinging at WOT in 3rd?
Hey '99 guys,
Regarding pinging after a WOT upshift from 2nd to 3rd and then on...does your chip do this on 93 gas, and what chip do you have?
Simple yes/no question and list the chip/program that you use.

Had something this weekend WOT above 120 mph started getting some detonation (pinging?) problems (sounded like lifter chatter). Let out right away and no ther problem. Wasn't sure if this was the chip cutting out the motor at high speed? or a real problem. I'm running an R9 with Pro-M 80. Hadn't had any other problems but I'm wondering if I don't have to give Mike a call and have him take a look at the Pro-M calibration vs. R9 fuel/air setting.
