Question Flex-fans

Hey guys Iwas just readind in Nov.2000 Sport Truck mag that the fan can rob as much as 45 HP from your motor.they used a 500HP motor on a dyno to do the testing of 10 or so fans and 1 did use 45HP .Now, I've heard all kinds of things about these Flex-fans,and I'm just wondering if they are worth the effort? I don't even know if they make one for our trucks. The best result was only 4Hp loss from an electric fan.Check out the article page 116 and let me know what you think. Thanks FRANK

I was thinking the same thing as you. I am sure that there is someone out there that has looked into this subject. Anyone with some insight?

Mike

HIGH RISK had elec. fans on his, but I believe he said they drain the battery rather quickly while waiting in the staging lanes.
