Hi Don
Merry Christmas and New Year to you buddy.
Yeah I got the pump as a spare but it looks bigger than the stock one.
Will fit it anyway before the season starts here, but I remember you cussin your IC pump when we tried to get it going with you at JDM day.
It's on - It's off, it's on' it's off - oh f---------------k it
Will meet next year, I look forward to it.
Take care.
Ricki
I know you guys have seen this done before, however I thought I would just give you the view from this side of the pond.
Any comments or suggestions more than welcome.
Can't let all you lot have the 10 second glory.
Yeah I could have done it with the JDM - Steel combo and with my Magnum
blower however that has gone on a buddies truck which he got motor built in the UK so we will see how well he does in March.
The Whipple is a nice set up and looks like original equipment.
I have no doubt the debate between KB & Whipple will go on for a long time.
On the cosmetic front the Whipple wins by miles.
Still that is another seperate debate which I know we have not heard the last of - well hopefully on this series of thread anyway.
Back to my steel block, I had a fuel delivery issue which may have caused my original stock motor to fail and caused a lean condition on the first built motor.
I had an intermitant problem since which gave issues - history now.
I will be taking out the pumps and checking the delivery lines etc.
Plus modification to the fuel electrical system, going to do away with the duel voltage relay system as this could be the problem - a 2 $ relay.
Have each pump with it's own supply and a supply on lamp from each pump to ensure there both powered at all times.
I have other little ideas of my own.
Example a timer system to bring on the fan when stationary - before the engine bay starts to warm up.
Usefull in stop start traffic and hot weather, helps remove heat build up as I am running long tubes too.
Keeps engine temperature more stable too. This has worked well for two years now.
The whole thing is a learning curve - hell if it was easy it would be boring.
I must aknowledge the help and support given to me by the the team at JDM
Without this support being near 4000 miles away would make this project difficult and more time consuming. Thanks you Guys & Julie too.
Also I realise there are other tuners and builders out there who have contributed to our goals with their own efforts and results proven too.
And many others on this and other Forums who have done their bit too.
That's another reason for me to stick with one Builder & Tuner as I would be spending a lot more time travelling your fine country meeting the others and when you run your own business that can be difficult.
I can leave my house and on a no problems day can be at Jim's door in less than 12 hours.
Maybe when I get some more time I will set up a Gallery on this Forum.
Can't let Rob have all the photo glory, oh yes and before I forget....
I will be faster than you buddy.
Happy New Year and all the best for the coming season.
Let Battle Commence

All I can say is "right cliack and save as" LOL
Well a little time spent this afternoon to clean some parts up ready.
Pre-Install and mount a few things before I put the motor in.
Clean and inspect machined faces and gaskets.
A through clean of the intercooler core.
And just had to photograph the thing of beauty on top of that built motor.
No greasy fried breakfasts on there, but clean enough to eat you dinner off.
