Was that you I met pulling out from the hyatt regency O'hare on sunday? Wish you would have turned around and said hi, If it wasn't you who was it? It was red with a toneau cover and we gave each other the thumbs up.
Nope, wasn't me. I would have tried to stop you to talk you into going to Byron Dragway on October 8th! I'm still going your direction at the end of the week. Heading north from Dubuque,Iowa early Friday AM, (Tee time Friday afternoon near Garrison). Golfing at Izaty's Resort, Rutgers, and Mille Lacs Resort courses for a few days then heading back toward the cities and staying at Mystic Lake Tuesday night, before heading back to Chicago. Plan on taking the L unless it craps out again before then. Send me an E-mail with a number I can reach you at(you too MNLightning)as I won't have access to a PC up there. Later,

bob,
You mentioned that you would drive your L if it did'nt crap out on you again. You by chance did'nt have problems with your L on 90 east bound yesterday afternoon. I saw a black L sitting beside the east bound lane with a boat behind looking very unhappy and the hood was up. I can't remember the exact spot but I think it was five or ten mile east of #39 where it cuts south to rockport. Was going to turn around and try lend a hand to whoever it was but could not find a place to make a u turn within a reasonable distance.

That wasn't me either, mine is red. As far as L problems go, I got stranded once (at least not far from home) with the fuel pump problem, I had to have the intercooler replaced last week(they had it for 6 days). When I first got it last May, the dealer replaced the blower belt to fix an acrid burning rubber smell(not tires), and fixed the front end clunk. I just got two new foglights, 1 stress cracked, the other was full of moisture. They also had to replace he spare tire hoist as it no longer worked.
I actually now drive around with tools, and my original stock parts to re-install in case I get stranded again as I don't know where it will end up being towed to and repaired. I love my truck, but it has had far more problems in its short life than any of my other Fords(6 others currently in the stable). I've had about all of the common Lightnng problems, so maybe it will be ok for awhile. But the stock parts are still traveling to Minnesota with me. Check your E-mail and reply with a number you can be reached at.
Sorry I didn't catch up with you in Chicago, I didn't see your messge until Monday and figured you were already on your way back home.
