Here is the link of our newest Showdown in the Everglades clips that me and my friends put together. This was done before I blew my motor.... This time we gathered a Lamborghini Gallardo LE, new interlagos M5, black Dinan M3,Interlagos blue Active Autowerke Stage2 M3 (500+hp crank), a bolt on modded 350Z, a Porsche 944 Turbo S, and finally my 2002 Lightning. It was surprising to find out the M5 was fastest of the day, beating the Gallardo once past 120mph. I lost by one car to the M5, and beat the supercharged M3 and 350Z. Have fun watching!

Hey Dan, don't worry, we cleaned up. The throw was done for the video purposes . Of course we have to respect the nature. It would be nice if we could organize a bunch of Lightnings to go for a cruise and maybe some races, I'd like to see the M5 get whipped. The other purpose for the day was to take some awesome pictures, since we have 3 professional photographers on the crew.... Merry Christmas

Yeah we do have fun. Our Lightning will give them a run for their money, or in some cases beat the Lambos, M3's and M5's but our trucks only top out at about 155, atleast mine hits the rev limiter then. The M5 goes 170 where its limited, the gallardo keeps going to 190 and so does my friends M3. We have other vids where we have bikes goind up against high end cars. FUN. What mods did you have when this video was made?
When did you blow the motor (racing a Lambo)?

 

I blew the motor about a month later, when the first cool days got here, only about 60 degrees though, but I guess enough to mess up the timing. Truck was running too lean. The mods done that im guessing on (bought the truck as is from dealer) are a 6lb lower, exhaust, no cats, and a cai. 400 to the wheels with 500 torque. The M3 that I raced in the video has been dynoed at 420 to the wheels and the 350Z that I also raced also has over 5k in bolt ons, so i am a happy camper in a way, cause the M3 has 100k invested and the 350Z about 45k. Gotta love the torque!
I gotta say though, that M5 is one bad stock street car that can whoop on tuned 500hp cars right from the box....while having kids in the back seat eating icecream, and the tranny, oh my lord it is nice. Seven speeds and superquick shifts with tires chirping still nicely when going to 3rd. I was in the M5 at 170mph and it felt like 100mph in my truck.

We are gonna organize a 3rd part, so any tuned Lightnings or other fast 500hp+ cars (engine power) are welcome attend to cruise/race/photoshoot if you are in the southern florida area.

 

any C6 Zo6s you know? I want to see what one would do up against that M5

 

I wish i knew someone with a Z06. The Z06 will definately be faster though... I've seen them in moroso pull middle 11's stock... the M5 on a good day will run high 11's low 12's. But it would be fun to see nevertheless, one missed or poor shift on the Z06 and the M5 would go by... C5 Z06 i know is no match, but I think personally that the C6 Z06 is probably the fastest stock car this side of a Ford GT right now.
