Post The Fridge...

Just read in the MM&FF their mods to their 99 L. Superchip added 14 HP and a Pro Flow meter added 23 HP. Together they added 53 HP.

One thing I was wondering about was the Superchip they used was a single program chip, not a flip-chip. I thought that the Lightning was only available as a flip-chip??? Maybe Mike can answer this one.

They haven't had time to do any runs with the mods yet, but they feel they can get into the 12's with it.

PFA: Are those numbers right? 16 extra HP when used together?! Wow.

And superchips makes both a single and dual program chip ... single is like $230 (F150online discount)...

Question

Thing that got me was that the truck dyno'd "stock" at 340hp in the last issue and 337 with the cat-back exhuast they put on. I know a different dyno on a different day can be different but hummmm, lost 14-17hp from last time?(base dyno reading before to base dyno reading this time) I wonder about MM+FF sometimes.

I was under the impression that Super ONLY makes a flip chip. If I remember correctly, Mike Troyer told me this info.

I also have a single mode R9 program chip. Mike Troyer told me if I towed I would need a flip chip so that I could use a less aggresive setting (so it wouldn't ping) when towing. It's great and cost less $$$ too!
Worst case, I can remove the chip while towing....LOL like that's ever gonna happen!
I also don't believe MM&FF results on alot of their dynos. One thought is how can they run 13.30's when the truck is SUPPOSED to be stock and they claim to be making 10 psi of boost? In the later articles then could not duplicate those runs below 13.60's.
All those that smell a rat, raise your hands...LOL.

That's exactly what I thought about the chip. I don't ever remember being told or it being mentioned that we could get the single program chip. If so can someone can point out the thread, please do.

You can get a single program Superchip for $225 from the f150 on-line ordering site, but if you need a custom program, for gears, MAF, etc., it will cost you an extra $125 for the burn.
