so i went to the mall last nite to do some x-mas shopping. got home and everything was o.k., but i parked the truck at the end of the driveway. it usually get's parked up infront of the garage. this is about 11:00 now. i went about my buisness as usual, and i didn't notice or hear anything odd.
well sometime between 1:00am when i went to bed, and when i woke up someone stole my front corner lenses. not the whole corner lamp just the lenses. i know it didn't happen at the mall. and i know they didn't blow off while driving (too much of a coincidence for them to both fall off at the same time.) the reason i say this is because the silicone was still tacky and if it was tacky while driving, then road dirt/sand would be stuck in the silicone. not only that but someone had scratched the reflective part of the lamp.
sooo, if by some crazy coincidence the person who snagged em' happens to be a member here and read's this. know this, pray i don't find you , cuz when i do, you are F'N DEAD MEAT when if i see them on your truck. trust me i WILL be able to tell the difference and identify my work. so therefore be prepared for the hellacious asswhoopping you will recieve, it will not be pretty.

and.....I WILL BE WATCHING!!!!!!!!!!

dam bro sorry to hear that.. pisses me off to hear a story like that.. thats the first time ive heard a member with any problems from NJ.. usually NJ L owners dont get messed with it by the common thief.. but what blows my mind is why would someone just steal the F'n lenses????? why not the bulbs while they are at it??? if you never lock your tailgate that would be the first thing i would suspect someone trying to get to are our tail lights.. i hope you find this guy at E-Town one night.. if you see me there dont hesitate to tap me on the shoulder and ask for help i would be more then happy to assist you!!!

 

it is probably some crack head stealing them for some cash.
I just lost a loan because guy was buying a foreclosure in hempstead, ny (ghetto area), went to contract, had loan approved, day of closing he does walk through and crack heads came in and stole all of the copper pipes, the toilet, header, sink, electric box. the windows where also boarded up and somehow the stole some of the windows from the inside. Needless to say he got out of the contract.

as for halflife, that make's my lenses look like peanut's as compared to that.

a couple of guy's on the nloc board seem to think they could have fallen off. i can't see both em' falling off at the same time, but anything is possible. i can only hope that was the cause, at least then i would feel better about my neighborhood and people in general.:o

I understand that all of us do not have a garage to put these in like I do. so...let's take our video cameras ect... and place them in the window of our homes, or elsewhere, in a place that will capture the thugs in the act of doing these things. If we don't have one (camera) lets use other means such as or neighbors for help...If we can. Just trying to be pro-active. Sorry about your problems, none of us are actually protected against this type of act if they are really out to get you. Keep your eyes and ears open because the crooks (most generally) reveal themselves after the act...Good Luck.

P.S. By the way check and see if there are any cameras in the perimeter of the crime, in the businesses or houses that umbrela or canvas depicting the location of your truck. If your lucky you will see the culprit.
