Exclamation ATTN gearhead

Your setup is almost identical to what I want to run on my truck. I talked with a Flowmaster rep and explained that I wanted loud, deep, and mellow noise. He prescribed Delta Flow 40 series with the last 16" of pipe increasing a whole inch in diameter. Well, that would mean 3.5" tips...I don't believe this will work in terms of fitting the exit opening or in the looks category. I will probably follow your example with 3" tips. Sorry for rambling How does your truck sound now? Any performance gains? Again, thanks in advance.

Flash..Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I do like the sound of the Delta Flows. There is no irrating resonance at any rpm levels. As far as the tips, I don't think there will be any problems using the 3.5" tips as I have plenty of clearance. One thing to do is before the tips are welded in place, have the shop put the truck down on ground level. What seems to look good up in the air doesn't always look right once the truck is back on the ground. That was my experience, anyway.
