Having a Black Lightning of my own, I can honestly say that the great amount of time on his hands is due to the fact that his truck gets around town so much quicker.

Tundra

I loved your response to all the negativism, sardonic and cynical comments by those who have come to realize that they chose incorrectly!

Jim.....

I'm actually suprised that you do have so much time on your hands, seeing the color or your L.....before I got my White 00' (the truely fastest color!!) I had a 98' Black 4x4 Lariet.....MAN!!! it seemed all I did was wash and wax that thing....even right after it's washed, seems like I could go inside, get a coke, and come back out to see what all my hard work had produced, and it would already have a layer of fine dust on it!

Good luck with it though....I hate to admit it, but, Black looks AWESOME when it is just right!!

Hey,

I been out all day dusting and waxing the L only to finally get back in to see all this humor. I bet all you guys did today was drive, drive and drive. I stayed home and waxed the beast. Look at all the $$$$$ I saved by not burning all that gas.

Really, how hard is it to keep a Black L clean in S. Cali??? This would help me decide between Black (still #1 choice), White or Silver.

JIm definitely has too much time on his hands. That is why he has a Black Lightning..... requires more time to keep clean than his house and yard Kidding LOL

BLackBoLT99

This thread is only in jest. If you want black and that is your first, go for it. Sure black takes a little more work but I love doing it. I dust once a day when I first take it out with a California Duster (a couple minutes). Zaino #6 every few days and that's about it.

Maybe blacks are so fast that dirt doesn't stick. That's it. Black L's take LESS WORK than all of the other colors because dirt can't catch them.

Hah, I think you found the secret. I knew it was in jest. But I also did hear a lot from outside sources about how hard it is to keep a Black any vehicle clean. Just curious. Not saying I'd neglect the L (I have a pack of Pampers waiting for it now).

The L I test drove (read: Fell in love with), was Black.

-Marcus.

p.s. I think Chrome wheels looks GREAT on the Black L's (and that's a must for my L, is chorme wheels.)

Right. There is nothing finer then walking up to a clean black L with chrome rims. It sparkles.

Come on Jim, Fess Up

The colour you REALLY wanted was SILVER but only black was available.

Not only is SILVER the fastest colour, it is also the best looking on the L.
