I am taking my Lightning to Minnesota next weekend. I going up near Garrison for a short vacation (9/29-10/4). Do either of you guys know if the Brainerd Dragstrip is open on any of these days? Looking at their website, I could not figure out if they have open nights for test and tune, etc. Judging by all the Minnesota vehicles I see going to Tri-State Dragway in Earlville, IA, I think dragstrip time must be somewhat limited in Minnesota.I will be staying at Mystic Lake Tuesday night(10/3), but don't know what time I'll get there as we are playing a late round of golf at a course near there.
Brian, looks like you live south of Minneapolis, did you do anything with your crate engines yet? MNLightning, not really sure where you're located. Let me know where you guys are at and how to get in touch with you and maybe we can hook up for a beer or something while I'm up there.

Hey Bob I might be able to meet you later at the casino on Tuesday 10/3. Let me know if your interested. I can usually take off after I put my son to sleep..@ 8:00-8:30. It's the highlight of my day can't belive time goes so quickly he will be four on the 14th of Oct.l4. There is a go cart track called ProKart not to far from the casino that is open until 10:00pm. I see you are in west chicago, how close to o'hare? I am leaving for chicago sunday am for a meeting on monday if you have time to have a beer let me know.
Most of us around here go to rock falls wisconsin. they have a decent track, although I have never been to any other.
Yes I still have one crate engine left that I really would like to get sold.
If you head back to chicago taking #52 down to rochester to get onto interstate 90 you will drive within four miles of my house. Thats the way we go the chicago.
I have to see whats going on but maybe next weekend we all could meet together somwhere and meet, still havn't met mnlightning yet.

Hey Bob, I dont know how close you will get to fargo-moorhead but there is a strip there. Just a little east of moorhead at sabin. there might be races there the weekend of the 30'th on sat and sunday. If you are interested let me know and I will check the schedule.
