Post headers, headers, headers

just received these headers from CUSTOM FRABRICATED HEADERS, who babolt posted a phone number for in an earlier post. these headers are AWESOME!!!! i have posted a few pics so you could see different things about them than have been posted by babolt in the past. there is so much attention to detail that it is hard to see without holding them in your hands. notice the marman(?spell)clamps, a trouble free, leak free way to connect your headers. a special thank you to babolt and to steve of CFH, for there r@d and time. http://www.zing.com/album/?id=4293955253 they're not cheap but you get what you pay for.

They look AWESOME. Are they the same for your truck as what would be fabricated for one of the Gen 2 L's? What are you going to use behind them? Put some pix of your truck that all of this stuff is going into on your Zing site if you can, I want to follow the progress of your project to help me with my own.

Thanks,

Lightning Bob

bob these are the gen 2 lightning headers, i'm going to make work in my 92. after measuring frame widths between the two trucks i believe they will fit with very little effort. here is a link to the truck they are going in. http://www.zing.com/album/?id=4294247329 these should be the header of choice for you gen 2 L people.

Beautiful workman ship on those headers! I havent had much luck with slip-fit header collectors sealing well. Does anyone know if these headers leak at the tube to collector connections? Are the upstream 02 sensor bungs installed in the header collector or after? Otherwise, these headers look to be worth every penny.

nytling92,

Your engine and headers look great!! Looks like you truck has some nice paint on it also. I am doing a crate engine project in a 2000 Expedition. I have most of the big parts such as intercooler, pump, crank pully, alternator, etc. Do you have a list of parts needed? If so, I would like to trade notes with you. I have done a lot of wiring diagram research on the Lightning PCM also. You can e-mail me at:
