aem o2 sensor bung?

i'm putting in my aem w.b. gauge and i have to install the o2 sensor bung. they say for high output motors to install the bung 32" from the exhaust port and all other applications at about 16" or 18".
i was figureing to install it in the mid pipe, right after where it connect's to the collector. mainly because it's easier to access. would this be a good spot? where are all you guy's installing them.

i use the aem gauge also.. being that i have dynatech headers and cats and mids.. i used the extra bungs that are not used as the spot for the gauge.. it works perfect and i get a very accurate reading..

I put mine in the collector about 3" ahead of the flange.

well i pulled out my drivers side header and put the fitting in the collector. after looking at the mid pipe i realized, not only was there no room to put it before the converter, but putting it in the collector was the lesser of two evils. man i tell ya though it was about 3 1/2 hrs to put in that stupid little thing.
