Cool north texas/okla 'L' pilots

hey people! please allow ourselves to introduce...ourselves. there are about 15 Lighting owners in the north texas, mostly dfw, and oklahoma area that are interested in starting a local chapter of the NLOC. sounds like most of em will be in Ennis at the FFW on the 7th of October. if there are any other L pilots out there in f150 land thatd like to join, please let us/me know. there is even talk of meeting up in dallas sat afternoon to complete the run down to ennis for FFW. this is nothing horribly formal, just a chance for the local L pilots to get together once in awhile, meet some people with like interests and such.

From what you said on the other board, the 15 L's you have right now are gen. 1's, right? All your trying to do is get some gen 2's to meet you guys out there, right? So if thats whats going on I'll be out there.......

hey, thats good news, look forward to meetin you guys, if for nothing else being able to put a face to the name...
...i/we would appreciate it if ya pass it on to some of the other yahoos that have gen 2's. were now lookin at 20 local lightnings, and yes, as of now 90% are gen 1's, but from the posts ive read about Hallsville, there are a TON more L2 pilots out there...
...we do have a graphics company working on a club logo/sticker, the name worked out to TALON; Texas Area Lightning Owners-North. north was about the only way to work the oklahoma guys into it. the idea is to have an eagle claw gripping either; a lightning bolt, a dodge r/t, a chevy 454ss, or one of the many combos of the three. but if someone else has another idea, give it up...

Cool

ill sure work on 'em, but need a date/dates. prob late oct/early nov would be better, cause with FFW in ennis on the 7th of october and all, that will be the only trip alot of 'em will take if not for the month, for the remainder of the year. but ill dang sure go...just keep me in the loop

I'll sure try to bring my L2. (Is it OK to call a v2.1 Lightning an L2? Being a recent convert, I wouldn't want to offend anyone)

God, it is neat to have the Internet, and postive displacemtn supercharging, and computer guys, and F150 Online, and, and...

Now, if Chevrolet would just build me a Vette with a butt smaller than my L2. You recon' they couldn't build a fast truck, so they just tacked on a bed to the Vette to get them by for a few years????

Try to convince your friends.....

It is a little over an hour further than Ennis. AND the biggest reason to go is that of the 11 or so trucks that went we were collectively almost unable to over power the track. What that means is that the new personal best of 13.43 that I ran was the tip of the iceberg. I know the track could have handled a harder launch. I just couldnt get the idiot between the Steering wheel and the pedals to cooperate....
