FWIW, you can get a T56 for the Mustang with a 2.97 1st gear which would be excellent, IMHO. Coupled with the proper rear gear, a T56 in any Mustang (modified or stock) is killer.

$hi&, I am spoiled. I sat in a Camaro for the first time 2 weeks ago. Never been in a Vette. Most hp. car I drove was a 160 hp cavalier before I went to look for an F150. Luck would have it that they had a Lightning. Drove that after I drove an F250 Superduty V10 with a 6 speed (salesman stalled it twice then asked me to park it, and a regular F150 SuperCab. Whats it like driving a vette, and seeing truck lights to 100?

Congrats on the L purchase. I'm sure you'll be happy with the Vette speed and handeling,but the truck capabilities, all for $10,000+ LESS. Plus, The L I believe has a Higher re-sale value.

FWIW, I was all set to buy a new vette, the Fixed roof coupe, but when I started learning about the L, well, I soon couldn't justify the utility of a vette, or lack thereof. L has a 3rd seat and payload and towing capacity. Vette doesn't. I can't wait till my '01 L arrives.

Lightnings are flat out, 1969 style FUN!!!
Don't know where I posted this before, but when we took the Expedition for detailing, another '96 Vette was being traded in on an Expedition...
Made me feel guilty, a traiter or something...
Anyway, they really pissed me off when they turned the Vette into a two seat Firebird. Took away an part of my life (new Vette every couple of years)...
Have you seen a C5R chassis kit. If you didn't know what it was, you would think it was a pickup with no skin, complete with a bed!!!!!!!
Anyway, I LIKE my L. And hopefully the C6.
And where is Ford Car Division at. How about that Saleen SR7. Tell me why that has to cost $300K????? And can only be produced in quantities of one....
