Post Question For Anyone Running A NOS System

I am planning to install a NOS dry system over the winter and was wondering if those who are running NOS on the new L's have changed their spark plugs? I have heard that platnium plugs should not be used with NOS. Any suggestions??

Hey HANKFAN-Dan here,
Still haven't heard back on those NGK plugs I posted about.
I see your still going to run NO2 this winter.
Here is something that has made me decide NOT TO DO IT!!!!! https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/006004.html
It makes for some serious thought.

Videoman,
Eaton is having this problem with all the superchargers (NOS and no NOS). I wouldn't point the finger at the NOS alone. I will admit I have probably mechanically abused my truck more then anyone else. You should also think about the crank case vent system. Every thing from the throttle body to the intercooler and I'd imagine inside the lower intake too had a coating of motor oil from the pcv valve on it. I am working on a electric Evac system to solve this problem. Now I realize that increased cylinder pressure with the NOS will increase blow by but the pcv valve in front of the supercharger spraying dirty motor oil through the rotors could also have ill effects.
I am going to work on a fogger type set up (eight NOS injector) mounted in the lower intake. This should solve any ill effects the NOS is having on the rotors.
I am going to send the old charger to Magnusen and get their input on what caused this. I will post the info when I find some thing out.
For you to suggest that this happened just from the NOS isn't correct.

My Novi has a polydyne moly-teflon coated impeller. the throttle body has the same coating. the wet nitrous nozzle is a few inches before the throttle body in the blower tube. although the impeller is not subjected to the nitrous spray, the completely "coated " throttle body is. it is also subjected to 12psi of heat, huge temp drops, with water/alcohol spray as intercoolant, and not a flake of teflon coating lost in last 5years.
If the coating is flaking off, its probably a crappy coating to begin with, and is going to come off anyway.

HIGHRISK-Sorry about the jump to conclusion. The Jury will be out until you tell us what magnusen has to say.
But what you're tellin us is Eaton is having this trouble with ALL its blowers? Is that correct? The same thing as in the pictures?
$hoot, something else to worry about!!!!
But if Eaton is having the same trouble then is it covered under warranty????
Dan
