Post A new traction idea??!

I am here sitting ,trying to figure out a way to hook up better so I can break into the 12s.....13.21@104 is very respectable BUT,With traction I am convinced I am in a 12 second truck. As I was ordering 2 inch drop shacles I had an Idea.I have taken out a leaf in my other trucks to lower Them 2 inches. Why not do it to the L . If I take out the right leaf,It will make my truck 2 inches lower and It will squat like a bastard while ripping into it.Do ya think the weight transfer will work??I know it will lower it.I dont care about towing.

Softening up the rear end would help but I tried it already and got nothing but wheel hop. Besides the shocks on the "L" or setup for handling in the corners. I have ordered a set of drag shocks for the "L" hoping that the adjustments will help transfer weight without creating wheel hop. See "Drag Shock" post. The only solution i see so far. There was a suggestion about a different set of rear springs, but not sure how to determine which way to go.

I think its a great idea, to take out a leaf off of the leaf springs. I got a 99 4.6L F150 5spd, and Its very high up on the rear. I wanted to find a cheap way of lowering it, and I thought about removing a leaf, but was too scared to do it. I think I'll be removing it this weekend. E-mail me if any of you guys have already tried it, and tell me what happened.

I think part of the drop of the Roush suspension is their replacement sprigns for the back have less leaves.

You can remove some of the leaf springs and add traction bars and adjust as necessary.

Question

Has anyone thought of useing some arebags from a Ford Expedition in replace of the leaf spings. I know there would be alot of work to be done, but just an idea. The Expedition system is automatic when it comes to filling the bags with air, but if you could put a manual switch on it you could make it soft for drag racing and stiff for takeing corners. Oh and you can fill on side with more air than the other so it will help launching. I know this for a fact because my move drives one and our driveway slanted and the system levels itself out. Also towing would improve some. The main problem I see is $$$$$$$
Give me your thoughts.
