do what alot of guys have done. buy the mufflers seperately and have a muffler shop bend the pipes for ya and then have em' use your stock tips. that way you'll save some money on the tips and you can use the mufflers you want (flowmaster's, magnaflow bullets, dynomax bullets, spintechs, you name it) most aftermarket cat-backs are going for around 6 bills. i'm sure if you bought your mufflers for around 120 for the pair, an x-pipe for about 60-80,and the labor, you'll deffinately come out ahead and get the look you want. granted most aftermarket systems have stainless pipe's and tip's=extra cost. you'll probably end up with aluminized pipe. not to mention if you were to try and fit your tips to a pre-fabbed system you probably wont have much luck.

I have the bassani full system on my 04 L and it is loud, but sounds sweet. I have the JDM full system on my 01 L and it is good sounding but not as loud as the bassani.

I have the basani bx high flow midpipes and bassani catback and the exhaust has a nice rumble at idle but once you hit the throttle it sounds like the second coming!

I would ditch the factory tips. Look around, they are high maintenance (ceramic) and never look as good as any of the Stainless ones. The Bassani for one, are larger, fill in the skirt better, and imo look meaner with a touch of class.

The only thing that is bad about the bassani is the exits stick out much too far compared to the JDM system which is tucked into the side skirt. I will be cutting them in a little to make it look sleaker.

i have the dynatech system

same exact system as JDM, just about $200+ CHEAPER.

pipes are perfect fit, dont stick out, chrome, and its the best sounding catback IMO. deep and throaty.

good luck

Hard to beat the JDM Silver Bullet for sound and quality! And, they are on sale right now!

Here is a photo of mine at the time of install.

Actually, it is pretty easy to beat the quality of a JDM exhaust. After two months of driving, you get this:

Yeah louie, I cut them down with a 24 volt cordless sawzall. They sit tight under the skirt like my 01 with the JDM system. Looks much better.....

You can make the tips tuck in with the Bassani, I have done this on the 3 Bassani catbacks I installed. Its all in the way you line it up before you tighten it down.

Looks like their "OLD" style...not the new all stainless system....

2 months of driving.... Do you always wash your exhaust in salt water.... that looks like winter driving and salt that was on the roads.... I drove my L for 2 winters in Boston and I had the old style JDM catback and it didnt look like yours at all... so im gonna call BS
