Cool Which Flowmaster Muffler do I put on?

I'm just trying to figure out the cost and which Flowmaster muffler I should switch to? 4D THNDR, I know you have some, which ones do you have and what are the inlet/outlet size and locations, i.e. 2.5" or 3" and center or offset? Thanks for your help, Jeff

Cool

I have the 2.5" inlet/outlet but given the choice of redoing it the next time I think it'll be 3" inlet/outlet. The passenger side one is offset in/center out, and the drivers side is center in/center out. There are photos in the FAQ section on how they mount. Also there is the photo of the sort of the home made "H" pipe connector made out of 5" exhaust pipe you might wanna consider. Either way it's gonna sound better than that Escort muffler thats stock. When I traded in my '99 for this one I could only stand it for a week before I had to have the Flows put on this one.

4D THNDR, Do you remember what type of flowmasters you have, ie 2 chamber, 3 chamber, Delta 50, Big Block? I am hesitant because I had to remove a brand new flowmaster muffler from my mustang a few years ago because they were so loud at highway speeds you litterly had to yell to the passenger in order to be heard!!

Here are the ones I bought. Part # FLO-42540 $ FLO-42541. Ordered out of Summit catalog @ $59.95 each. I believe these are 40 series.

I have the 2 chamber 40 series and they aren't overly loud.

Thanks 4D THNR, I think I will wait to hear yours next week. By the way, I won't be able to leave Charlottesville until 11:30-12:00 since I have to coach my kids' soccer game. That should put me at the track around 1-1:30 pm. Do you think you will still be there by then?
I did a search on the flowmasters and at least a few people thought the 40's were too load, do you have the Delta Flow system are yours to control the interior noise?

I'll get there about that time also. I have to work 'til 06:00, sleep a little, drive up, race, be back for work at 18:00 unless I can swap some time or take some vacation.

Nope, no delta on mine. Personally I would prefer it louder. There is NO problem talking while traveling down the road either.
