Crush69-
Almost any subject concerning Lightnings has been discussed here at length. Just do a search and you're bound to find more than you want to know.

WRT intercooler leaking, try: https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/004898.html https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/002654.html https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/002571.html https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000994.html

Good luck!

P.S. - I took my only mod (Superchip) out before I took it in. Dealer did a good job getting it replaced.

Talking

Call SVT and ask them how many replacement intercoolers have had to be shipped to dealerships. I know its over 300.

300 out of 8750 trucks? Not as bad as it sounds all the time I imagine then.

Almost a 4 percent failure rate on the intercoolers! That is pretty serious...Firestone is doing a recall on a tire that has a fraction of 1 percent failure rate. If the intercooler was causing a safety issue on the vehicle, you could be sure it would have been a recall issue...

Also have to consider that these vehicles have not been in service that long and probably for not much mileage. Some are still unsold, with no mileage. I say the jury is still out on this one. My example is 13 months of service and 9000 miles. I think my local SVT dealer have five unsold Lightnings on his lot right now.
