Thumbs up Ford Lightning Reings Supreme in Truckin

Hey guys, current issue (Nov) has our beloved Lightning against some other trucks, guess who wins.................... LIGHTNING (as if there was a doubt)

Unfortunatly it came from SVO with some worn out tires which they said cut into the trucks traction, but it still came out tops!!!

Yea Truckin Magazine tested it in there Nov. issue They also said on page 10 that they got some s%$& over not having a L last year but Ford didn't want to put the L up against the SS a nonprodution model. So they test it against a Kenne Bell Navigator and a Kenne Bell Dodge Quad Cub. It didn't mean any thing because the L done both of them in any way. The worn out tires didn't help it in the slalom or quarter-mile.

My only regret about the article was the number of times they mentioned the abused rear tires, 4 I think. Darn thing only had 2k miles on it according to what they said.

As well, I got my trusty magnifying glass and checked the photo that showed the rear tires to best effect, and they looked like they had plenty of tread to me, at least as much as mine does at 11000 miles which is still a lot.

Oh well, they liked it anyway.

Cool

Cheap Bas#@%ds.. Instead of complaining of the worn tires, they just should have hopped down to the local tire store. After all, they are a big budget magazine.

Yoda is correct, but they have not loaded the November issue yet which is the one with the Lightning feature.

June 21, 1999, The day I got my 66 chevy pickup (never heard of Lightning), they had an awsome 66 chevy in the middle of their magazine. That was the first time I ever picked up a sports car magazine. I bought that one, and I hope one day I can call them up to say my truck is ready for an interview.

Went to the store and looked for the Lightning article, but couldn't find one. Is it the one with the wildly painted dually on the cover?
