Trimming the hood on the 2.6 Lightning

Rob,
Every kit that is ordered from Kenne Bell has a supplement on the throttle cable to hood clearence issue. We have a detailed instructions on this. Did you recieve the instructions? Everything is explained regarding the by-pass valve and the hood. There were only a few experimental kits sent out that did not get the supplement.Trust us, as soon as we heard of the issue we handled it. We did not want the liability. Here is the supplement about the hood trimming. If anyone did not recieve this please let us know ASAP.

Thank you,
Kenne Bell

Thats great to here Jim because people need to be warned, I did NOT recieve that Supplement and this is the first time I ever saw it. But I'll tell you one thing I'm dam proud of meself because looking at your pictures I can tell you I cut out "the identical piece and spot", you sure you didnt steal my pictures and change the color

I just saved a copy, btw thats a good idea with the rubber edging, I'll have to look for some of that, (ok I didnt think of that one, you got me there).
Jim this Supercharger added MASSIVE Power and it's outright AMAZING, the directions and install were cake too, one of the easiest installs of any Mod I've ever done and I do all the wrenching and Mods on all my vehicles myself.
Compared to the Procharger install on my GT this was like changing wiper blades (or something). Great Supercharger, AWESOME POWER ...
SCARY TEST RIDE : o ()

Rob- that rubber edging around the opening can be duplicted using 6 inches of vacuum line.

Mine was one of the early production units and I did not receive this info. I figured it out real quick when my throttle hung open on me though.
I've printed the info you've posted and will keep it with the other instructions given me. One other thing that I didn't get was the plenum gasket. But your instruction manuals stated clearly that the first production units wouldn't have it. Do you have those available now? I would like to get one from you if I may.

I absolutely love this new KB. I'm planning on making some 1320' runs with it on the 15th. Finally some cooler weather here, I think the beast will like it.

Hi Mr. Bell. I guess you must have missed my post in the other thread. The one where you claimed how you promptly reported to Tim Skelton the exact number of KB failures. I asked for that info too. I assume you must have just missed my post. I would like this info if possible. I have a fully built Lightning, and will be looking for a big boy blower this winter.
Thank you,
Aaron Lord
