Quick EGR Delete Help (Vac Lines) Pleeeeeeeeease
Ok I've done this before but lost my notes on it *@&$%)@$%)@$
THe only thing that goes back on is whats missing in the Box, and that is a electrical plug.
I have at least 6 vac line I need to deal with and hence is where I need help.
I was suppose to hook the Boost Bypass to the orig Pink Line but that goes nowhere now so thats not right.
I believe I pull it all out, plug up two and use a Black
ANYONE GOT SOME PICTURES OR CAN HELP, I'd really appreciate it.....
Thanks

get rid of the pink line, cap the top port to the boost accuator, then the one red line that comes off of the plenum needs to be pulled out (see above link for correct one) of the 3 way connector and plugged with epoxy or whatever u decide...then the black line goes from the other port on the boost accuator to the underside of the intake tube.
THANKS GUYS especially because I was looking for CHIZ's post and couldnt find it
Ok I'll remove exactly that in the morning, the problem now is I have the 2.6 Big Bore KB on and I need to plug the Boost Acuator to SOMETHING ???
If I was SOMETHING what vac line and color would I be ???
I went with this "so far" but couldnt start it today cause I need a longer belt,
(I got that now and will start it tomorrow)
My thought is this, I was suppose to use the pink line for the KB Acuator but it's no longer hooked up to anything, sooooooo below is the Pink Line that I was suppose to use, since the Pink and Black both pluged into the "Thingy"
I got to believe the "Thingy" was the switch and I now I have to use "that Black" for the KB Acuator ???

(the Black is hard to see but it's under the Pink and attached to the same connector)

This is how mine is. Assuming you did the boost bypass mod the pink line would be on the T fitting of the line that goes inside the cab for the boost gauge. So then the pink goes from the T to the top of the boost actuator. The bottom of the boost actuator has the black line which goes to the intake. The 2 black lines that go to the passenger side of the motor get capped off or removed/capped at source. The green for the EGR is removed along with the red that goes to the plenum.
i was just about to edit my post, that black line can also be removed and then just cap it on the passenger side of the blower, where it ends there will be 2 other black lines that are T'd together. One of the black comes off the old plenum, the other comes from the vaccum box behind the battery
Ah thats it, I guess the Former owner never did the Boost Bypass,
SO I have to tee into the line as if I was doing it, and then run the pink to the KB Acuator, RIGHT ???
THANKS GUYS
thats what I didnt put in the mix
See the Black Line Taped to SC Base right under the Plenum opening, that hooks up to the Acuator on the other side and needs to go somewhere...

Makes sence, tee into the Black line going into the cab as if I was doing a Bypass and then hook that KB line into that tee, everything else gets removes and or capped

that black line you have taped to the base is it from the stock boost actuator? if so that goes from the bottom of the boost actuator then to the intake. otherwise if it's one of the lines that runs to the passenger side of the motor then it gets removed/capped.

HI!... Well since your removing the EGR, EGR TUBE, VACUUM LINES, DPFE sensor, ERG VACUUM SOLONOID, what about SES light coming on afterwards? Are you getting your tuners to get rid of the lights?
You would think with all the debate about KB v Whipple that full detailed install sheet would have been provided. wtf.
On my Whipple set up.
(Complete Kit from JDM with everything needed and full details too)
The line from the bypass valve is connected to the lower intake - boost side of blower so the valve opens with vacuum and closes with boost. You must check operation of this valve - open with closed throttle ie; Idle.
There is also a line from the same lower intake connection that fits onto the fuel rail pressure control regulator. (Boost pressure to increase fuel pressure)
All the other junk removed.
Connect brake servo to vacuum port behind throttle body and the same for factory vacuum line and EVAP line (fuel tank canister)
Cant believe these vendors sell you a Blower kit without full detaled instructions.
You don't want it to lock up do.

Yes Neil of course I am.
Ricki you puddle jumping sob I see you too have nothing but bad luck to wish on your ole buddy, GEE THANKS PAL
may your 3rd built motor explode upon start up
(ok that was mean) BUT SO ARE YOU ; o )
And FYI according to the many friends I have who installed Whipples they tell me the instructions suck monkey *** and dont even show or talk about 1/2 the install, and what they do show you is wrong. If there is one thing every Whipple owner and Vendor told me it's the instructions suck and the install is a sob the first time. This install and instruction booklet for this KB was the simpliest thing i ever worked through in my life. The instructions are amazing, @ 150 detailed pictures and 50 pages. The installation was extremely easy and straight foward and what did it take me a couple of hours from start to finish (doing it the first time).
Of course there is detailed instructions on the EGR and where each and every line go (with pic), and where all the other lines and connections go.
BUT there is nothing on doing an EGR Delete
I am very much aware how important this line is thats why I WONT START IT until I know, and why I'm asking. So instead of bashing my KB why dont you help your buddy out, your saying I should hook it up to the same source as the Fuel Pressure Regulator's line ?
BTW as my friend Gator reminds my by the minute I wasnt always a fan of KB, amof I had a lot of **** to talk about them many years back when all the orig units were locking up, but the issue was corrected and in the end Jim Bell admitted there were failures, the rest is history..... It's the years since of ET pounding success that has changed my mind to KB. Up to recently EVERY top L in the country ran a KB (most still do). If I have a problem with mine someday I guess it's the price you pay to buy the newest and best technoligy out there, AND IT'S WORTH IT
NOW HELP ME OUT HERE RICKI instead of breaking my *****, when I finish me coffee I want to get a belt on this bad boy and start her up......
