Post belt slip--->>>

Has anyone replaced the stock Ford belt with maybe a Goodyear or a Gates to stop the blower belt slip that many people have(mostly Swanson chips) had? At first I thought it might have been the trans making the swoose noise but now I believe its the belt. Kind of curious why this happens to us "lucky" ones....maybe our screws are tighter than others...lol

I sometimes get it on the O/D downshift at 40 and I'm stock.

What I'd really like to see would be an aftermarket toothed belt & pully setup. No slip at all then. Plus the toothed belts have that awesome sound even at idle that let's others know you're not to be messed with.

I just ordered gates belt part number K080660 from Carparts.com (about 28 bucks). it is 66.5 inches long, compared to Ford JK8667, which is 66.7 inches long. i figured the tensioner would have some play in it. i got the number from a Gates engineer i emailed because Ford is out of the supercharger belt and is backordered for months - they wouldn't even take my order
