upper pulley question

i seen that jdm has the upper pulley kit onsale for the holiday, and well i want one the mod bug has hit i tried to keep it away but it won now its time for me to go broke modding, but i noticed on jdms website it says this

JDM's upper interchangeable pulley kit includes your choice of upper supercharger pulley. Installation takes about 2 hours and requires hand tools and some specialized tools (including a press), as well as Ford supercharger oil.
what tools are needed is it a pita? this will be the first time ive worked on the truck except for the ftvb, so im not firmiliar with v-8's yet let alone superchargers.

thanks in advance

I think that doing the bottom pulley is the best bang for your buck when starting off. only my opinion.

ive read that when you change the upper you can loose "grip" so to speak but i was under the assumption that thats only when your going very very small i only want to go to a 2.8,
