Cool diablo chip

has anyone ever heard of diablo chip,an L owner from indiana that drives up to martin us131 dragway in michigan runs with one and he got a 13.123 with this chip, pro m and street tires last night and my time was 13.159 with swanson chip, pro m, shift kit, and mt et streets.his chip burns 92 and the swanson i use uses 104 unleaded. he also has a line on replacement intercoolers for somewhere a round 500.oo he claims when he gets his a guy at his ford dealer will be installing it. i do not no what brand but it is not a spearco, and he said he would call me with more info on the intercooler. it would take 2 tenghts for me to switch intercoolers unless of course my 00 started leaking, then i would switch just do to information on this board.as far as the chip he also has a pauls high performance chip[superchip] and a swanson and says in any weather the diablo is a tength faster. this chip looks nothing like any of the three chips i have tried those being first oo superchip[pos] inject chip, and swanson. this guy also has the vacumm lines of his blow off actuator teed off so that he never loses boost from high revving burnots at the track and says his ford dealer[mechanic] did this for him after complaining about loss of boost, and he never lost boost since.when i get some info on the aftermarket intercooler from him i will post it as he has no net acsess.later

ib fast,

Yes I have heard of Diablo Chips. They have been advertising in MM&FF magazine for the last couple issues. I beleive Diablo uses an older style chip that has a ribbon cable on it and rests inside the PCM. I had one like this for my Mustang. Diablo sound good, sorta.

They have a Web site but it escapes me right now what it is.

Cool

hey pfa, i saw the teed off actuator, and witnessed some f1 burnouts that surely hit the rev limiter, but this guy knows less then me, and it is hard to explain[i only know what an actuator is from seeing pitures on this site] but looks simple enough to do though. i'll try and find out next time i see him at track and get the name of dealer or mechanic that did this for him. or sal might no.later

correction, pauls high performance chip[superchip burned by pauls high peformance in jackson,mi] is the faster of this guy's chips, not the diablo. he is coming up to mid michigan motorplex in stanton,mi soon if the weather is good, and i will take a piture of his teed off boost actuator and send to someone who has a scanner to be posted.later
