Trans Fluid

How often does everyone change their trans fluid and filter?

I do a "drain & fill" about every 10-12,000 miles...I usually change out the filter every 3rd time.

I know it's a bit excessive, but trans fluid is a lot cheaper than a transmission,
and so far, so good.

I've done mine 3 times, every 50,000 miles. 1999's and early 2000's have a drain plug in the torque converter so most all of the fluid can be drained. I have the stock pan and it takes 14 quarts to refill.
