Question Effects on intercooler leaks

Hey Guys
After hearing everyone talk about the leaky intercoolers on the Ls I checked my fluid and it was empty!I filled it back up but can someone tell me if I should be worried about any other effects it may of had.I called the dealer and set up an appointment. Also does anyone know about how much work is involved at the dealer and how long I should be without my truck?
Any help would be appriciated!

Thanks

when the dealership finally gets all the parts they will replace--intercooler, all spark plugs, and all 02 sensors. In the mean time fill with water only no antifreeze. The fluid is going out the exhausts not in the oil. Mine ran great before and runs great now. Make sure you get the good plugs. Sal has a post over on his site called tip 1 which never mind heres the number. You want AGSF 12E plugs and none other.

It took 3 weeks for the parts to get here and 1 day for the work. It runs the same as before it started leaking. With the cooler empty, I experienced a loss of power, I think around 15-20%. It felt sluggish, even at 1/2 throttle.

But I am much better now...

Thanks-I noticed a little loss of power also. I think 20-30% is about right. Hopefully I'll be fixed up and at the trac soon!

One day I looked at my coolant was down the dealer checked it out and ordered the parts. parts came in and I droped off my L and then went into parts just to make sure parts were there. The man at the parts counter went and got my part for and I was shocked then they showed me a Ele. pump. The tech stated that the neck had cracked which caused the low level.

I also live in Cincy and I too had the same problem. I set up an appointment at Kings Ford, but they seemed pretty clueless as to what the problem may have been. I instead opted to take my L north to Village Ford in Dearborn. They went ahead and ordered the parts before I even dropped it off. I dropped it off on a Sunday evening and picked it up on Tuesday.
