When they pry it from my cold dead hands...oops wrong board. I feel the same either way.

Seriously, only two reasons to part with Cap'n Crunch.

1. In a BIG pinch financially. Don't forsee that anytime soon.

2. Someone with boo koo fundage make me an "offer I couldn't refuse" (read: CA$$H) Then I'd go buy a 2001 and start over, HEH HEH.

Thumbs up

I sold mine.. why you ask? Was I hurting for money? NO. I just want a new one or something else. I paid "A" plan for mine and sold it for around what I paid a year later and 12k miles on the odometer. Why? Cause plain and simple I'm a toy junky, I want something else. Maybe a 2001 lightning, maybe a 2001 Cobra Convt. Who knows at this point, but I saw the a way to move into something else while recapturing what I had put into my L. Hell the dealer told me to buy a 2000 keep it six months and sell it again, if I kept low miles I'd make money, and I have no doubt that I could. But the real reason, winter. Why make the payment all winter long when I'm not gonna drive it, and I know I'm going to want something else.

It was a no brainer in my case. Yes it hurt and I almost cried to see her go, but I know what it's gonna feel like to drive away next spring with something new.

Injection is nice, but I'd rather be blown. Lightning, the best of both worlds!

STV2GO Some people on this board drive their Lightnings during the winter, me NOT being one. I agree it sux making payments on something you don't drive. But I use it as motavation to go to work, as I work outside during the winters here. Thats why I also got a 75 LTD, a real tank for the winters. But hey, god bless you, if you can buy A plan and then sell and make money or break even. Gota go and install my chip and "test" drive it. Later

Well....in my case, it does stretch the budget a bit. I am getting married at the end of the month and will have a whole new responsibility there. Still, you can fit three people in it, carry whatever you need every once in a while, the view is superb, a full frame, wonderfully fast, and it's been reliable. So, in some ways, one outweighs the other for me. I'm keeping it and besides my fiancee has a car if we need to take people/children around. I drive mine all winter as well. I figure, why waste your warranty by storing it, especially if you are leasing or going to trade it in eventually anyways. However, if you have that luxury, then more power to ya!

A vehicle is the worst investment you can make, regardless.

If you think a vehicle is the worst investment, Paul, obviously you have not done a lot of trafficking in boats.

Cool

I like mine too, but if all the little problems keep adding up, it might be expensive to own later on. I am thinking of the total lack of problems I have had with my 135,000 km Mitshubishi and I worry.

Hmmmm.Tough question. If Ford produced a new L w/ 450 horses(or more ) and,now this is big,ALL WHEEL DRIVE! I want to be able to launch this bad bod like a Syclone. Then I would part w/ my baby. And if I was made the proverbial "offer that you can't refuse",those are the only two sceniarios where I could see myself parting w/ my Bolt.
