Smile new best ET

Not out of the L, but out of the Cobra 13.26 @ 104. Even better was beating a friend who had his 99 Vette out and got a new best of 13.34 @ 105 (on drag radials w/ Corsa exh. and a intake kit). Still the only thing done to the Cobra is the 3.55 gears.

------------------
99 Lightning black, cd,tow package,bed rug,roll-n-lock
(13.73 @ 99.74 stock)
98 Cobra coupe laser red w/ 3.55 gears
(13.26 @ 104)
former Chevy fan still have a few
72 SS454 11.6 @ 116 (slicks open headers)
68 Camaro 12.2 @ 116 (street tires closed exhast)

Not bad....I run a 12.34 in my 300zxTT.....you trp speed seemed a bit low for the et though....some mods will give you some nice gains in ET. MORE POWER

Thumbs up

Actually, that's an outstanding time with so little mods to a 4v Cobra.

We all run in different venues/air and track conditions, but the best I got out of mine with just gears (3.73) was 13.82/102+mph.

What are your 60' times? You are definitely getting very good ET for the power (assuming you're not running slicks...and I don't believe you were, correct?).

Here is the slip

Wes, this is with the original tires, no K&N, only mod is the gears. I tried several things in the past (IMRC delete, short runnuer intake, resistor in air temp sender), but none helped so I put it back to stock.

98_SVT_COBRA: What was in the lane next to you in the above run?

SteAmyZ: What was the trap speed for your Z?

Wow. Great 60' time. Best I usually manage with _huge_ 315/35-17 tires in the rear is 2.05-2.10. But, even 60'times like this still allow me to run 13.3-13.4 on motor.

Norwalk must be pretty darn sticky. I noticed the other car had a great ET for _only_ running 110+mph. Very few cars break into the 11s running 110.

I never tried the IMRC deletes, but have found a few things that do work and have tested them on the dyno. Simple stuff that lots of people do...pulleys, Pro-M, hi-flow cat h-pipe. These 3 items were worth a solid 25hp/25tq at the rear wheels.
