I was reading the paper Tuesday and noticed there was a canadian cold front coming into Chicago and nighttime temps of +-60 were expected. I thought this would be fantastic for racing. I went out on the friday previous and my best time was 13.610@100.25. temps that day were around 72ish. Yesterday we had temps around 58ish and I made another personal best of 13.229@103.26mph with a 2.001 60'. this was the 2nd time I raced with JohnnyLightning Ram Air. It rocks. I think as it gets later in the year and drops to low 50's I might break into the 12's. I can't wait!!!


For those of you racing on the F-1's what do you do to get traction when it gets cold?

Hey Blk were you running at...I used to live in A town a long time ago. We raced at Oswego (don't remember the spelling think it's right)

 

I was up at Rt 66 raceway in Joliet. we have also hit Great lakes dragway in union grove, WI and Byron dragway. I think I am going to be a regular at 66 on tuesdays. It's so much fun, if I can get traction. Hows the air out in Vegas? Love that place also!

Gator: I love the heat, but I am excited for cold air 4 racing. I HATE SNOW! L. is going in the garage 1st sign of snow...SOB!

 

I could tell you that with the recent Cool NorthEast air, I have noticed a BIG difference in the way my truck is performing. With my 4-way chip in stock mode, it actually feels as if I am running in my Street Performance mode.I actually plugged the JL kit off, and tested with and without it. It felt like it made more power with it, also reved quicker...very cool IMO

I did install new cats Today to regain the low-end I lost.My truck is back to normal, now all thats left is change plugs in the morning
