Talking More than a handful of Lightnings at Milan tonight.

It was a great turnout and a lot of new faces too. Thank to Brad, Dave, Gene, Norm, Scott and Toby.

Gene I know you were happy.

Another shot of seven Lightnings in a row.

A new best stock and chipped time always makes me happy. But, what was in your bed would really put me over the top. Great fun tonight, except for those dang skeeters that assualted us.

Hey Bob "High Risk" !!!!
I beat you again. I made it down the track with the new ported and polished Lightning heads on my Lightning. Well I should not say on more like in the Lightning. I forgot to take them out of the pickup box. This is what Gene "BadBolt" is refering too. All the ballast I went racing with.

Just in case inquiring minds have to know. This is what the port work looks like on the heads. All work done by Al Mesyn at Rhino Racing.

My first pass right off the freeway with my Pro-M and 4.10's with stock computer was a lame 14.16 @ 99.98. That pass, I totally lost traction and let off the gas and back on...horrible run; one to forget. Pass two with BaBolts chip that's been setup for a Pro-M, not sure which one he has, did a 13.55 @ 100.42. He put his chip back in his truck and did a 13.42 @?. When he came back to where we all were parked, he did a Dale Jarret spinout on the grass...I think he was happy!! Last pass in my L with the Pro-M, 4.10 and stock computer, did a 13.90 @ 99.88.

How'd those new heads feel going down the track? I'd really like to see some numbers when you get them.

About the new heads. I would say they are worth about a tenth. Yea, if I would have taken them out of my pickup box I think that I would have been a tenth faster last night. In all honesty I have been waiting for "High Risk" to run with them and then be able to give a report. He should run this weekend at Norwalk and we should see some very impressive results. Please let me wait for his results and I will post the flow data for both the stock heads and the ported heads on Monday. Thanks.

They look better under the hood. Fired the motor tonight. Sounded good. Trans works. It's hard to believe 5 days ago the cab was off, the engine was in pieces and the trans was in Jerry's garage. No sleep tomarrow still have alot to do. Haven't road tested it yet.
