Hey,

Anyone out there from the detroit metro area?
As some of you have figured out from previous messages, I just moved to MI from NY and I don't know a single person out here. So if there are any local lightning meets or anything like that let me know. I would like to meet some people..and of course see their lightnings.

There is a black lightning at a nearby apt in dearborn with custom chrome rims and 20" tires. Is that anyone on here?

One last thing. I am currently in an apartment in dearborn that I hate, and am trying to find another place. If anyone knows of any good apartments around let me know. I need a garage for the bike and the Saleen. One for the Lightning would be nice too.

I would guess there are 20 Lightning owners on this board in the metro detroit area.

I work in Dearborn; if you see a Red 2000 with "Arctic Cat" and a BIG Mountain cat's head in the middle rear sliding window and "BADBOLT" plates, that's me. What city do you work in. There are many nice places to rent in the surrounding area of Dearborn. Norwalk is a dragstrip near Cleveland Ohio. Very nice stip.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for the replies. I will be working in dearborn for a Major automotive company (i wonder who that could be) that conveniently got me a nice discount on my L. I start on tuesday. I am currently living in dearborn. I am looking for a better place right now...the garage here is filthy. Put my 'L' in and it came out filthy...its not big enough for my bike and saleen which is what i need it for.

Plus the apt itself isn't that nice. I found a decent place up in west bloomfield that I am considering, but I am a little worried about the commute. If anyone has any knowledge of specific apartments to look at (with garages) I would definitely appreciate it!

I'm going to look into norwalk right now. Hope to see everyone there. Anyone know how far it is from dearborn?

I grew up in and around Detoit area St. Clair Shores then Mt. Clemens and Clinton Township moved (by request of USMC) to Orange County Calif. in 70. But the rest of the family stills lives there so I go back to see them.

If you plan on staying in the area for a while (a year or better), you should look into a condo. There is alot of development around the city I am at, and the prices are not bad, and its very likely that you can make some $$ when you sell.
