Post Carbon Fiber Driveshaft: FORDSALES?

FORDSALES,

I know I'm a little late but I'd like to still be a part of the driveshaft purchase. Can I still join in? Please e-mail me if it's not too late, I lost the contact info!

Mike

My guess is that it should be. Here is a quote from the thread on the shafts regarding instructions to order the shafts.

Are you ready to buy?
This is the latest. I spoke with Jeff at Inland Empire this afternoon and with ten or more in to buy the drive shaft the price will be $790.00. I will be giving him the final measurements soon. What each of you can then do is place a call to him (Jeff) and you can then handle you purchase via M/C, Visa, Check etc. etc. What I asked him to do is handle it on a first come first served basis and the carbon fiber drive shaft will be shipped via UPS to your door. This process should take about two weeks.

Mike,
Join in! My driveshaft is ordered. My wheels are completed. Being Balanced as I write this.
Had to tie emergency cables. I'm sure you will need to countersink holes for lug nuts.
This was only 30.00 (It was 75.00 for the center hole). Cerra Racing who I bought the Tires from has a Driveshaft safety loop that will fit your truck.
BA had for a 60 degree taper in his drawing.

Jim & Mike
You don't have to worry about the drive shaft I kicked off Jeff with all of the information to build with and I did not even place my order yet. He told me that he would build at least a dozen of them and keep the deal open to the 1st of October so no need to rush. I see that the hub dia. is incorrect on the adapters from A1 and that the countersink is wrong too. It should have been 60 degrees so that a normal lug nut (with taper) could be used to provide better retention. I will have several sets of revised rotors and calipers available soon also reworked brackets and backing plates. All of these items will be powder coated and the rotors will be crossdrilled and ceramic coated too. I can color coordinate the calipers to your car too.
PS. I redesign the retention for the rear brake pad and it looks a lot cleaner then the spring steel clip.

BA,
I had hoped to be sending you pictures tonight, however even though I am all completed on the wheels, I now have a CUX2 with NO CHIP...NO SMOKE

I had the adaptors countersunk for the standard F150 Washer. Had wheels on and off several times making sure everything cleared, and that seemed to work good.

BA, Can't thank you enough for all your help!
Jim

Jim,

Please send the pics to me as well! I know how much it cost you to rework the adaptors but how much for the work on the calipers?

Thanks,
Mike
