Talking spark plug type

Hello everyone, I know this may be more of a personal preference but I am going to change my plugs in my 2000 lightning and was wondering what plugs I should use. what brand, type, heat range etc. I live in Iowa and I do plan on driving it in the winter. It currently has no mods, but I do plan on doing air intake, pulley swap, things like that. thanks

Stay with the stock plug for now.

What is your mileage on your current plugs? NGK TR6's are a cheap alternative but I wouldnt' keep them long. I run Denso's IT22's. $$ but last forever!

The plugs are the originals and have only about 30k on them. The reason I wanted to change them is because I have heard about the factory plugs blowing out of the head. thanks

They blow out from being to loose or overtightening and striping the threads. Just check them and you'll be fine.

Ditto on the above it's the threads in the heads or a lack of that causes the issues not the plug type just make sure there tight (not stripped but torqued properly), for a stock ride I'd be running stock plugs or NKG T-5's.
