Texas is Truck Central and there are insane dealers and customers BUT I find this one hard to believe. I know there are dealers still selling for MSRP or less in Dallas....

Post $43,000 for an L?

A friend of mine was just in texas, he said the local dealer (not sure what town) wanted $43K for a new lightning! Maybe that explains why kelly bluebook is showing a value of a 99 L with 12K mi. at over $37,000, with a trade in value of over $32K!!! Supply & Demand I guess. Lloyd

I live in Texas and recently purchased a lightning at Mac Haik Ford. Brand new 2000, they were charging MSRP + 5K. It was rediculous. I found my bolt at the same dealer...only in the used car section. It had a little over 3k miles and I got it for way cheap.

If you want a Lightning, try Bob Sight Ford in Lee's Summit, Missouri (suburb of KC). They only charge MSRP. No screwy dealer markup. There are usually two or more on the lot at all times.
