Thumbs up 0-60 times in a school zone

had my first chance to try it this am. first day of school, the 1st graders were standing at the crosswalk, and i was first at the red light. a first for everyone involved. light turns green and i quickly released the brake. the old crosswalk babe flashed her official handheld "stop" sign at me foiling any attempt at moving my foot to the go pedal. i rolled toward the crosswalk, accelerating to 5mph. the last of the future Louisiana scientists and shrimpers made their way across the street and i rolled past at about 7mph. the "End School Zone" sign was just up ahead and "Wonderboy" couldn't wait, it was like trying to turn Secretariat into a trotter. as i past the sign,i quickly tried to make up for lost time and made the 0-60 in just under one minute g-tech pro time. i'd like to hear from other school zone racers, to see if this is a normal time, or if future modifications are needed.

You mean you're supposed to go slow in school zones? I usually ignore all the "stop" hooplah, and the "children", and race on through doing 70 or more. A lesson to everyone here- don't buy into the "School Zone" BS, they're just messing with you.

Don't worry about hitting them...they're small, and don't mess up the bodywork nearly as much as the adults.

BBQ -

All of us POS Lightning owners know that even a highly modded "L" can't do 0-60 in under 60 seconds in a school zone. UNLESS... you're sporting the latest Go_rila Racing item: the Future Shrimpers and ****-kickers of America School-Crossing Alakazam! Pedestrian Displacement Levetation Device. It is very similar to the cattleguard used on steam locomotives back in the old west days. Instead of removing a herd of bison from the railroad track, this precision engineered device is designed to actual lift the pedestrians over the vehicle and gently place them back in their exact tracks while the "L" moves unmolested through the school zone. Much the same way a tablecloth can be snatched from a table while leaving the place settings. As soon as the testing lawsuits are settled, it will be available with a special group buy discount for all F150 Online members.

Thumbs up

GO_rila, sounds like a helluva mod you have there, and as one of the future shrimpers exclaimed as "Wonderboy" rolled past him this morning: "Putmedownfordat"

Mr BBQ,

future shrimpers....LOL

We gots us sumthin like that up here in duh Midwest but we's call them Farmers. Not much between the ears, just content on breathin, the almanac, hog futures, tendin the chickens and crops. Thay is some hard working folks too (respectable). And as the seemingly long-lost Silver_y2K once put it, skin resembling that of a catcher's mitt (only the face and biceps down)

As some of you may know, I work for an ultra classified, top secret, division of the government that studies and develops highly sophisticated microphysics devices. I am sure many of you have heard of nano-technology, well, my discipline goes even more abstract than that.
Although highly top top secret, I feel that I am safe in allowing the following information to be known, especially since it’s the members of this board who I know can keep a secret.
In layman’s terms, as you are probably aware, nothing in the Universe is actually solid. Rocks, wood, yourself, anything around you, actually has more empty space to it than actual matter. The amount of space between atoms is essentially infinite in comparison to the atoms themselves (in fact, the atoms are not even "solid" as they themselves are made up of sub atomic particles, as are those subatomic particles made up of even smaller particles, etc etc ec)
Anyway, to make an already long story short, we who work in my division have devised a way to take an object and essentially align all the empty space with anther object’s empty space. Result? One object can therefore "pass thru" another object.

This would work for "L’s" too. Imagine having the device on your L and being able to drive thru any solid object, little kids included. You’d never have to stop at lights, or for traffic, or for school zones, regardless of speed.

This handy dandy little device is currently being used for military applications, but the future for cars is amazing and sure to follow. Just think, no more accidents, no more speed limits, short cuts thru buildings and mountains.

It’s gonna be fun!

Yoda - Yes, you could but expect your ETs to be slower because of the high temps.

Cool

I've been testing this device for a while on my gas tank. I think it's really working well, because I'm passing more gas molecules through my L than any other vehicle I've ever owned. It's like a bottomless pit.

Cool

Found this early prototype picture of the Future Shrimpers and ****-kickers of America School-Crossing Alakazam! Pedestrian Displacement Levetation Device in the archives. This was an early test model which we tried out on cows.
