Used Lightnings/Harleys/Supercrews Atlanta area
Just a quickie.
Purchased the latest Atlanta area Truck Trader and was rather surprised to see a half dozen '99 Lightnings for sale (all dealer owned). Prices were at two levels, $27,900 and $28,900. Also 4-5 Harley editions in the $32-33000 range which surprised me,thought they were still really hot.
Biggest surprise of all was the number of SuperCrews, must have been a dozen. Prices were all over the map due to the 4X2 vs 4X4 versions as well as trim variations. I think the lowest was $27k and the highest was around $33k.
I haven't really clocked the prices of the Harley edition nor the SuperCrew as delivered, but I was reasonably happy that the '99 Lightning seems to be holding up well. I paid $30,200 for mine in May of '99, and I am sure I could flog it for the higher of the prices I saw today if I were to sell it privately.
Less than $2,000 loss in 16 months ain't too shabby stock to stock, and I think I could pull out the cost of my add ons and still be in the same ball park.
