Post dyno #s on heads, cam Lightning

Just thought I'd pass on some numbers to those that are interested. I got this info from a buddy of mine in Houston. MTI dynoed a gen 2 Lightning with MTI ported heads, custom cams, full exhaust, chip, electric fans and 50lb fuel injectors. It dynoed 430 RHP.
According to the guy who does their port work, the heads respond really well to porting. I heard the heads alone yielded 30-40 RHP.

Finally, the aftermarket is starting to catch up. If your info is correct, that means that the L with other mods like torque covertors can achieve low 12's. Woo Hoo. Thanks for the post.

It's wierd; but, MTI is a GM only performance shop. Maybe they're getting into the Lightning market now.

Look for Bob "High Risk" to run very well.
We just picked up his ported and polished heads and they should be installed some time this week. I think that he was impressed with how they turned out. He gets to have bragging rights to who did the work but I can say that the fellow is local to the Detroit area and he has a lot of experience. Look for the sticker in the rear window. I think that Bob made it into the 11's first on nitrous and I am willing to bet he will do the same without the nitrous.
Lookout Norwalk!!!!!

WOW......he told me about a possible head project; I just didn't expect it to be so soon. I guess it makes perfect sense since he's getting his trans worked on. Can you email me with your address? I've got a question for you. Pleas, if he goes to Milan, let me know. I GOTTA' be there.
