Went to the dyno today for a re-tune
Some of you may have seen the thread I made on the Chickenears Stage III Cool-Aid install. With this kit the MAF must be mounted in the 12 o'clock position. With my old K&N FIPK it was in the side/front position. As some of you may know, moving the MAF like that can wreak havok on a tune. When I did this I could immediately tell it was running pig-rich. This was confirmed today on the dyno. My A/F on the initial pull was somewhere around 10.5-10.8. So my tuner (Chris @ Excessive Motorsport) went to work. The second pull was a lot better, but it was still a little rich. The third was a little too lean. And the final pull was dead on at 11.9-12.1. This A/F is perfectly fine with me because Chris uses a tail-pipe sniffer to read the A/F and I know it will read a little lean. Everything else in the tune looked fine and the road test afterward was great as well. This is my street tune and has only 13* of timing.
File #17 was my street tune from the last time I was on the dyno and #21 is from today. Same timing, same boost. The only differences are the new intake, True-Trac, Level-10 Trans, and it was 20* colder today. These numbers are STD.

good numbers, that new motor is loosening up nicely. -20 degrees helps too. Your trap speed is easeing its way up from what was it 116, then 118 119 ? with the way things are going you should be out of the teens here real soon. Thats what it will take to get that 10 slip. Somewhere in the the neighborhood of 122 123 mph even then short times will need to be sub 1.60 IMO.
