Woodward Dream Cruise
The Dream Cruise was awesome. I saw a few 99 Lightning's, two red, and two black, and a couple 00's. Saw quite a few older Lightning's too. Awesome sight, just south of 12 Mile going south were 3 '01 Cobra R's driving side by side(or is that side by side by side?). One of them did a good burnout. There were at least 4 '01 Cobra R's there, because there was one next to me when those 3 drove by on the other side of the road. The big three had a few showcars/prototypes that they were actually driving in the cruise. Dodge had the Neon SRT prototype(painted yellow) on the road that was shown at SEMA last year, and Buick had some BIG retro looking showcar that was at a Auto Show somewhere. There were also a few '01 Corvette Z06's on the road.
All in all, I think it was one of the best years yet. Can't wait for next year!!!

Yes, it certainly was a lot of fun. Maybe next year we can put more effort into getting together for a side-by-side cruise.
The Buick was the Blackhawk...the design shop that Buick farmed it out to is right here in my hometown. It has a 1970 Buick GS Stage III 455 engine in it too!
463 hp @ 4600 rpm; 510 lb-ft torque @ 4200 rpm

We couldn't move! Got off 696 after a huge back-up and couldn't turn north. Did Ferndale, not much there. by the time we got back to 696, traffic was stopped. It took an hour and a half to get to 13 Mile. GREAT cars. Several 1st and 2nd generation Lightnings. The red one done up in Red Wing logos we saw at SVT last weekend got along side but he wouldn't even wave. Finally turned off and headed south as we had Tiger tickets. By the time the game was over, WOMC was saying the police were closing it down. Next year we'll go up Telegraph and cut across to Royal Oak and park then use bicycles to get around.
I knew it was something Hawk. The guy who styled it is the owner of The Auto Zone over there on 14 Mile & Woodward. That place is the best for automotive collectibles, tons of die-cast cars.
I used to live in Rochester Hills, where is that shop?

BerKe: Its a place called Advanced Automotive Technologies and its on Hamlin Rd just east of Crooks..
DHFerguson: I know what you mean about the gridlock and I agree with you on the bike thing, although I also think those little motorized scooters are pretty cool too.
I briefly spoke with a guy and his family in a red 2nd Gen L...it had gauges on the A-pillar and an Eaton inside sticker...was it anyone here?..
