Exclamation A couple of questions

Ever since i got t-boned, my truck has been fallin apart.. now i have coolant in the oil and need to change the head gaskets.. is it possible to do it myself or is it going to be too hard? (Im not a total idiot but i dont have a shop so i have to do it in my driveway).. it doesnt matter if it takes me a week or what not..

Also, my friend has a 03 L and he wants a new exhaust and wants it to sound close to a cobra.. my recommendation is bassani.. is there anything close to the cobra? i have twin magnaflow mufflers on mine and its deep and very loud but not cobra sounding..

any input/suggestions are appreciated, thanks

Are you sure it is the head gaskets? It could be your intercooler leaking. What year is your truck?

Coolant in oil

You need to check if your coolant level is going down and if you have coolant in the oil pan.
Leave the truck sit overnight and remove the oil drain plug briefly and if there is water/coolant in the oil pan it will be the first to come out as it is heavier than the oil and will settle to the bottom of the oil pan.

My L has had signs of water on the underside of the oil fill cap since it was new but this is only evident in cooler weather. This is just the water vapour from combustion leaking past the rings and condensing in the engine. The lower the thermostat the more likely you will see this. Even though I have a oil separator, I still see watery sludge in the underside of the oil fill cap but I have never seen a drop in coolant level.

the head gaskets are definitely blown there is probably some other internal engine damage as well, as it overheats just sitting at a stoplight.. paul @ razors edge is a great guy and very helpful, and once i get everything in order, im takin it to them to fix.. i dont trust the techs @ the local ford dealers because im not real sure they know what they are doing!!!! it took 7 days just to get an estimate This whole thing just sucks, my truck was fine before i got t-boned, now everything is breaking..

ps: i got to see a shelby cobra gt 500 while i was at razors edge i want one so bad! who is buying me one?
