I'm in, and have emailed you. I sure hope they are reasonably accurate. Is there no end to the toys available? I wish you guys would keep these things secret - my budget gets stretched so easily. BTW, I presume to use it to measure 1/4 times, one must measure a course. For 0-60 times, does the user have any intervention?

Fusion:

Ah yes, it answers most questions, however the reasonable inference one can draw from the literature is that everything is automatic, which certainly cannot be the case for 1/4 mile because how do it know? I have always wanted to believe in magic so I would love to believe the unit magically knows when one has passed 1/4 mile, but unfortunately, that has to be impossible. It still sounds like loads of fun, and I guess I can buy a 1/4 mile tape at the hardware store.

Having said that, I went back a read the stuff more carefully, and it makes sense. Obviously if it knows how fast you are going, and how long it took you to get to that speed, the distance measurement is simple. I guess that little accelerometer is magic after all.

Hey MRBBQMAN - Looks like it might take a special tool for AJ248 calibrations!
