lightning smokes 98 cobra and 2000 lightning
Raced the cobra Sunday and won.. He was spraying hard 150hp and still did not win.. I hammered down and got him good. was the best night so far.. He was scared ... raced my buddy with a psp chip, air raid, exhaust, pulley and walked him buy 12 truck lengths. No Shi? ... Then we saw lights and made a exit. Won't do that again....
If you raced a '98 Cobra with a 150 shot of nitrous on it and won then you have an 11-sec truck or the driver was an idiot.
On slicks, my '96 with a 100 shot would run high-11s. A 150 shot should allow a Cobra to run 117-118 through the traps.
I don't know of any L's running that fast...yet.
Maybe I misunderstood your post? Either way, your truck must run really good!!

My 96 cobra is bored out .03 over with manley rods and J & E pistons, carbon fiber drive shaft, T-56 tremec, upgraded s-trim w/ aftercooler, ported heads, ported intake, FRPP throttle body, SHM long tubes, SHM fuel rails, 38 lb/hr injectors, IMRC illiminator plates, griggs suspension, 373's, anderson power pipe, MSD ignition, pro-5 shifter recaro seats and I cannot remember all the other mods etc.
If you can beat it than you've must have a JATO rocket strapped to your roof.
I'm on this board because I will be an L owner when my 2001 comes in, but I will always have my stang and it will always rock.
I've driven both vehicles and there is absolutely no way an L can take a blown or sprayed 4.6 cobra unless like Wa2FST said, the other driver was an idiot, however,

For your info I have a lightning. 2nd. I am well credited. I have had race cars and trucks and motorcycles. FYI I have been and around 8,9,10,11, second cars and trucks. Hell my drag bikes run 8's all day long. Put it this way I'm close with Ford and have access to parts and info. take it for what its worth. I don't have to prove anything to anybody. When cash is on the line I'll be there with a smile on my face
