Question blown HFC

My pass. side cat. converter is clogged. I have Bassani HFCs. I need some suggestions...
Can I have it gutted? I've also read of putting a pipe through the converter... Would that be better? OR do I have to buy another one? And does anyone know where I can get one?

What does a clogged cat sound like? I get a slight drone from mine at WOT.

Mine sounds louder and more rough/deeper, as opposed to the smooth/even tones, when I give it gas. It also stumbles a bit and feels like I lost some low-end power. The boost jumps up quicker then usual. The cab shakes, not a whole lot, but very noticeable. And I can smell the exhaust leak.
