Did I reck the tips? Washed the truck last week,before I found this page,tips didn't look clean so I got the sos pad from the kitchen.I thought they were stainless.

Did you ruin your exhaust tips? Yea, now you can paintem black with VHT paint.

 

I noticed since I took off my muffler that my tips are much much cooler than with the muffler. It is also mch easier to clean this way, just hit it with a hose and maybe a cab of soap. No scrubbing.
