I had the NGK TR5s put in. I had 30,000 on them. I have 46,000 on the truck. I was going to get them changed at 50,000. I obviously didn't make it.

Do you need a Big Sert kit? I got one with only one used.

I spoke with my dealership and they are going to fix it, but I have to pay 20% of the cost. I guess that is better than nothing.

Blk, truly sorry to hear about your plug going, but it sounds like you are getting a good deal on getting it fixed. How did you get Ford to pickup 80% of the cost if your truck is out of warranty? Were they the ones that installed the aftermarket plugs, so thought they held some responsibility?

My L is an '02 as well, and Im out of warranty at 32 K miles (due to time, of course), and was just wondering if there is a repeatable method in getting Ford to help out if it ever happens to me.
