Fluid(?) spots on my L

Noticed some dark gray spots on the left side starting at the rear of the front wheel well a few days ago. They are obviously air-born; on the lower areas all the way back to the rear bumper end. It was a little low on on power steering fluid but that is tranny fluid red so I discounted it but I d/k what it could be. Any ideas and has it happened to you?

Also be sure to check your traction fluid and aerodynamic fluid while you're checking the headlight fluid...

I would say brake fluid. My Cap blew off last month somehow and i did not notice it for a couple days and for some reason fluid got all over the front left fender and dried there. Was a pain to clean off. On top of that I could not locate the cap so I had to buy a new one from ford which cost me 20 dollars.

Thanks y'all. I of course, checked all fluid container and, caps. It seems to have stopped as I see no new spots but I still d/k what was causing this:o .

You may have run through some oil on the road and it may have gotten kicked up and spread by the wind.
